ARBC Annual Plan Now Available

The Amite River Basin Commission (ARBC) is required by Act 490 of the 2022 Regular Legislative Session to develop an annual plan for watershed management each year, with the initial plan to be submitted by January 1, 2024. The annual plan includes a three-year projection of funding for projects and programs, including funding sources. The plan is consistent with the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority Master Plan. A copy of the plan can be found here: https://amitebasin.org/annual-plan 


Public hearings and outreach in the northern, central, and southern portions of the district have been scheduled in January for the plan. The plan is subject to legislative approval by both the Senate and House Transportation/Highways/Public Works Committees. 


Public Hearings on the plan have been scheduled as follows: 

Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the East Feliciana Alumni Center (10800 Rouchon Rd, Clinton, LA 70772) from 5-7PM

Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Ascension Parish Government Complex (615 E. Worthey St, Gonzales, LA 70737) from 5-7PM

Monday, January 29, 2024 at the EBR Main Goodwood Library (7711 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70806) from 5-7PM
